The Accel Group provides specialist recruitment and Human Resource solutions in the Information Technology, Business Support and Senior Executive sectors. Located in the heart of the Melbourne and Sydney business districts, they co-ordinate nationwide services with a focus on a consultative long term service delivery.
Business Requirement
For a SME to operate on a wide scale, it requires advanced and flexible information systems. Accel engaged First Focus to help them seamlessly join their Melbourne and Sydney offices and add a range of functionality; including, remote access, Blackberry and file system centralization. Additionally, rather than incurring the cost of an in-house I.T team, the Accel Group wanted an ongoing I.T maintenance and support solution.
The Solution
After a network audit across Accel's two offices, First Focus came up with a range of recommendations for a complete I.T solution.
First, the inter-office network was improved by implementing a First Focus business grade broadband solution, drastically improving the access speeds and reliability across the network.
Accel already had a small Business Server in their Melbourne office so First Focus added a Windows Server to their Sydney office, allowing both offices to operate on the same domain. Microsoft DFS was implemented to synchronize files between the branches and a secure backup solution was centralized in the head office. A Blackberry Server was added and the configuration of MS Exchange was extended to allow secure and simple remote access for home offices.
Following the implementation, a First Focus platinum support plan was tailored for Accel to provide regular maintenance and monthly management reports.
The Results
Accel now as a professionally designed and managed I.T solution allowing staff to work efficiently from their Melbourne and Sydney offices, as well as accessing emails and the network whilst offsite. They have access to a 24x7 help desk and a team of specialist engineers. The network operates highly efficiently and any I.T issues are dealt with quickly and easily.
