In another significant customer win, First Focus has been awarded a contract to provide a network, server, desktop and telephony support services across Asia Pacific to Production Services Network. Of PSN’s 8,500 worldwide staff, First Focus will directly support the infrastructure for 600 end users based predominantly in Melbourne, whilst delivering a range of project engineering services throughout the region. First Focus Managing Director said: “This contract further reinforces our credentials as a genuine alternative to the traditional enterprise outsourcers. As the managed services industry matures, mid to large businesses are realising they can often achieve better value and quality outcomes by engaging smaller, more responsive service providers like First Focus.”
First Focus warranty support services expanded to include all Iomega business grade appliances sold in the region
Following the successful venture into warranty and RMA support in 2009, First Focus has further expanded our hardware support and test lab facilities with a 3 year contract to support all Iomega “ix” series DAS and NAS appliances sold in Australia and New Zealand. First Focus will be both providing service desk support and handling the warranty return process. These services complement our existing hard disk data recovery capability, and expand our existing RMA business considerably. Gabrielle Archer, Client Services Manager said: “Customers can now go to a single point for technical support, on-site services, warranty returns and data recovery. This drives higher CSAT which ultimately benefits the Iomega brand.”
First Focus has commenced a range of support for Pandora’s 150 head office staff plus over 40 retail stores across Australia.
Pandora Jewellery required a broad range of technical services, including the on-site placement of full time service desk technicians, senior engineering support for virtualisation, a global domain integration, and SOE deployment projects, plus 24x7 on-site support for their retail stores across the country. First Focus General Manager said: “First Focus support for Pandora is a showcase of the breadth, depth and geographic coverage of our technical services, and demonstrates how customers benefit from selecting an outsourcing partner capable of meeting multiple needs.”
First Focus migrates over 40 physical and virtual servers to a single VMware Essentials Plus bundle, across 3 physical host servers, and a Hewlett Packard SAN
First Focus has been supporting the IT infrastructure of Faiveley Transport's Australian offices in Sydney and Melbourne for over 12 months and this project is a great example of how we can reduce operating costs and increase overall reliability of a customer network environment. First Focus moves head office up the road to larger premises.
Due to rapid expansion, First Focus has outgrown our previous head office location, and we have moved 500m up the road to larger offices. The new location is still within the Lakes Business Park, and provides us with additional parking for our field engineers, an additional 20 service desk seats, warehouse capacity, and a larger build and test lab facility.
Located just off Southern Cross Drive, and a stone's throw from Sydney Airport, our new head office gives us access to the CBD and North Sydney within 15 minutes, and easy access to the M5 corridor.

New ITIL based ticketing system driven by SQL .NET technology allows rapid configuration and reporting of SLAs, KPIs.
First Focus has listened to our customers and deployed a new vastly more capable ticketing system to meet our customer's requirements. Features such as the Web portal, iPhone integration, Crystal reports, Flexible Agreement based invoicing and Service dashboards are all driving service improvements, and this has been reflected in Customer Satisfaction metrics we are receiving from our clients.
First Focus wins contract with Proctor and Gamble
Leveraging our expanded partner program and centralised service delivery managemnt capabilities, First Focus has won a contract to provide networking support services to Protor and Gamble's sites across 14 sites in Australia. First Focus Managing Director said: "This contract reinforces the value of our partner program and justifies our commitment to establishing this network. Clearly there is a need within Australia for a national field services provider capable of delivering on 24x7 SLAs, yet agile and responsive enough to meet dynamic customer demmands."
First Focus has expanded its National Field Service and break fix capability, with the addition several regional support partners
First Focus has re-launched its regional partner program, having negotiated a structured set of SLAs and KPIs and back to back service contracts that span over 40 regional IT providers. This partner network allows First Foucs to deliver distributed deskside support services to organisations with sites all around Australia, and allows these services to be governed by central service delivery maangers under consistent and effective SLAs.
First Focus deploys new Fibre network and Co-location infrastructure
Over a period of 3 months, in association with Powertel, First Focus has completed the deployment of a new interstate Fibre-optic Layer 2 network and performed a complete overhaul of our co-location infrastructure. Our customers were demanding a high quality service to support expanded requirements in the areas of application delivery and cloud computing, so we undertook this strategic initiative to place First Focus at the forefront of modern technical infrastructure services.
