First Focus acquires Brisbane-based IT provider EnactMSP

First Focus acquires Brisbane-based IT provider EnactMSP

In its fifth acquisition since 2020, First Focus has secured the in-house expertise to deliver outcome-based projects using cutting-edge IT solutions while demonstrating a drive to grow its national client base through acquisitions.

The acquisition of EnactMSP compliments previous purchases – including education experts eStorm, networking experts The Specializt, and enterprise-focused MSP Ordyss. First Focus has retained all staff from EnactMSP, integrating their teams into existing services.

First Focus remains actively interested in additional acquisition opportunities for businesses with a shared vision – offering owners a chance to join our growing team or to exit the industry on their own terms. At the same time, First Focus offers other MSPs the chance to give their valued clients access to a national IT support provider, with staff available in every Australian state.

Ross Sardi, CEO of First Focus, says: “It’s really great to welcome the EnactMSP staff and customers to First Focus. Not only were the staff closely aligned to our values, they were also delivering a very mature managed services solution that you don’t often see in smaller MSPs.”

It’s been a very smooth process, which allows my attention to turn to finding other like-minded businesses that would be interested in joining First Focus.

“I’m especially looking forward to having Alex join our team and bring his unique experience to the wider business.”

Director at EnactMSP Alexander Home said: “Our priority from the start was to take care of both the customers and employees who helped us build our business, and our specialisation allows us to really understand these sorts of customers and their unique needs.”

Home went on to explain that the nature of IT – particularly cybersecurity – was changing “alarmingly fast” and that the speed of change was making it increasingly difficult to maintain the capabilities needed to offer the services demanded by clients as a small provider.

We saw this as a sign that this was the right time to join a larger organisation that could provide the extended capabilities our customers were starting to demand.

After the acquisition, Home will continue to work alongside his colleagues as a Technical Account Executive and part of the First Focus management team.

The purchase brings additional expertise and reach to First Focus clients, who can now access a broader range of IT services in and around the Milton region. While current EnactMSP clients will now have access to IT services on a national level. These include access to a team of over 280 people across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines, delivering IT support, cybersecurity, cloud, connectivity, communications, and more.

Speaking of the transition, Home stated: “We’re excited about what we can do with that knowledge and First Focus’ reach. For our team they are excited about the opportunities, growth, and career progression First Focus provides. Whilst our customers gain a wider range of services and more depth in the team providing them.”
